To the Juniors, Sophomores, and Freshmen

Bobby Ryan

To those who will continue the Warrior legacy:

As my time at Lincoln-Way West comes to a close, I look back at my time and experiences at West and offer this advice to you: don’t blink. High school flies by faster than you think. I know, I thought this was corny when seniors told me the same thing four years ago. They weren’t joking. I remember my freshman-year pep rally like it was yesterday. If I could tell my freshman-year self some advice it would be this: be as outgoing as you can, don’t be afraid to take it easy and have fun, and go to as many social events as possible. Meet new people. Reach out to someone you may not know.  During these short four years, don’t take your social events, football games, competitions, or anything for granted. One of my friends once said, “Sometimes it’s just about having fun.” As I look towards my post-high-school plans, I hope that you may read this advice and value it… and I hope that you can make the best out of your high school experience.

Best wishes, Bobby Ryan (President of the Class of 2021)
