What advice do you have for freshmen next year?
“Get involved in clubs, sports, ROTC, etc. High school is a lot more enjoyable if you find something other than classes to look forward to.”
“Don’t be afraid to try a new club or activity, even if you don’t end up liking it you usually gain something through it no matter what.”
“Get involved in everything and be open to being friends with everyone.”
“Make new friends and enjoy it because time flies.”
“Get a planner to keep up with everything, and sign up for clubs.”
“Don’t try and fit in. Be yourself/who you want to be.”
“Don’t be afraid to branch out and make yourself uncomfortable. Growth only comes when you put yourself out there and reach further than you think you can.”
“Take your time to experience everything and remember to work hard but also have fun doing it!”
“Prioritize yourself.”
What was your favorite class?
AP US Government, AP Chemistry, Psych, Culinary, Biology, Engineering, AP Literature, Choir, Band, Spanish, Auto, and Human Relationships
One senior stated, “The teachers are honestly what makes a class your favorite. Friends are a bonus, but staff is the core of it all.” And another said, “My favorite class was band because I got to connect with so many people I wouldn’t have met otherwise through the class. The music is also fun to play and it’s a nice break from the rigorous classwork assigned.”
What was your favorite memory?
Pep assemblies, homecoming week, dances, homecoming Olympics, band recommendations from a friend, and friends.
Favorite Sport or Activity
Water Polo, Dance, Basketball, Soccer, Tennis, Badminton, Madrigals, Marching Band, and Theater.
One student said, “Madrigals was my favorite. Being able to pour my love into a medium with people who also do the same is a magical experience and heals the soul.”
And another said, “My favorite activity is the Marching Band because I have been involved all four years and have met so many people and experienced traveling across the country to compete with some of my closest friends. Performing is a lot of fun as well and it’s nice to see the hard work pay off.”
