The Lincoln Way West Spirit Week is here! The dress up days began on December 9 and continue through Tuesday, December 17, the day before finals. Student Council voted on which days they wanted to offer from many fun ideas.  Kicking off the week is Pajama Day, which had the most participants by far. Many students could be seen in matching pajamas or comfy clothing and slippers. 

The following are the listed spirit days: 

 Monday 12/9 ~ Pajama Day (wear your favorite holiday sleepwear) 

Tuesday 12/10 ~ Candy Cane Day (wear red, white, or stripes) 

Wednesday 12/11 ~ Holiday Sweaters (wear your favorite holiday sweater) 

Thursday 12/12 ~ New Year’s Sparkle (wear anything shiny or sparkly) 

Friday 12/13 ~ Flannel Friday (wear a flannel or plaid) 

Monday 12/16 ~ Merry Monday (wear holiday accessories, no hats) 

Tuesday 12/17 ~ Winter Wonderland (wear light blue, silver, gray, and/or white) 

To add to the festivities, thanks to West’s Student Council, there will be a complimentary hot cocoa bar the day before finals! If you would like to grab your free cup, be sure to come to school early. The hot chocolate will be handed out between 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. and must be consumed in the cafeteria.  

According to Mrs. Ende, “We wanted to add the spirit week and hot chocolate bar to get the students excited about the holidays and ready for finals.” 

Don’t forget to dress up and enjoy the last few days before winter break. Happy Holidays, Warriors! 

Also, if you have younger siblings, relatives, or family friends, let them know about the Student Council’s Polar Express event on Saturday, December 14 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Admission is $10.00.  There will be games, crafts, hot chocolate, train rides and pictures with Santa.
