The Be the Change Club has been busy in the community this year. They meet once or twice a month and have taken field trips to locations such as a local day care and senior living community. At the childcare center, they read to four-year-olds, led Halloween bingo, and played outside with the children. At the senior living community, they made a craft, played bingo, and interacted with the residents. At one meeting, they also wrote cards for the people at this facility. They have been working on creating blankets together for Project Linus and are on their third blanket. Members of this club can earn community service hours, but their main purpose is to give back to the community by interacting with and helping those younger and older. If you are interested in being a part of this club and community, you can join any time by seeing or contacting Mrs. Plesek.
