As someone who moved schools a year ago, I didn’t gain much time in the library before it got a new design, so I asked a few people what they thought. Here are some opinions.
The first person we asked said yes. They love the new design, but they do miss the old one as well. They feel that the old library holds good memories with friends and peers making fun crafts, games, or even reading a good book. The second person also said yes. They like how everything looks new and the openness of the space. The third person is undecided. They miss how many books and activities used to be in the library. They believe that is what made it feel so comfortable and enjoyable. Lastly, the fourth person said they love both the new and old design and they can’t decide which is better because they’re both very nice. They enjoyed the old aspects of holidays and how much the library was decorated, which gave a homey feeling.
With all this said, I personally love the library. Both designs are attractive, and more is still coming. What do you think? Which do you like better? Answer this survey. Results will be included in the next issue of The West Gazette.
