I was honestly so disappointed in this book. I had very high expectations going into reading it. I’m a big fan of Ashely Flower’s podcasts Crime Junkie, and The Deck. I thought someone who surrounds themselves in so much true crime would do a better job of covering it, and I was frustrated in the many plot holes of the story. Crime Junkie is highly praised within the True Crime community. The podcast does a wonderful job of fully covering and explaining the case. Although there was a lot of the praise for her podcast, in my book, the book was a big letdown. Some Google reviews on the book said, “I struggled to the end of this only to find an unexplained incomplete plot thread… the only real victim were not the little girls, it was the poor uncle with dementia neglected of his needs.” Another read, “I needed answer to the ending. It felt like hitting a brick wall. I was left confused, and I felt like my time was wasted.” I feel many people thought the same thing upon reading All Good People Here. I hope Ashely Flowers will do a better job tying loose ends in the future, and filling plot holes in her story.
