The Cheesy Favorites of West Cafeteria
Lincoln-Way West students are in agreement; They love the cafeteria. 108 students were surveyed and the most common comments were that they love the cafeteria workers, the environment, and the food! According to the results, the most popular items are fries (77), pizza (52), and the walking taco (45). Bring on the cheese! Other popular items are boneless wings (38), Bosco sticks (37), pasta (30), mac and cheese bites (28), mozzarella sticks (26), pretzels with cheese (23), cheese curds (23), and chicken nuggets (22). Only three students claimed to have never purchased an item from the cafeteria.
Most respondents praised the workers and the food. Cafeteria staff were hailed as amazing, super kind, pleasant, and awesome. Some of the other statements about West cafeteria were: “I wish for more fries!”, “I love the lunch ladies,” and “Yummy.” When asked what foods students wished that the cafeteria sold, they dreamed big. Some of the responses were French bread with oil, additional Pop Tart flavors, more vegetarian options, more ice cream flavors, energy drinks, sticky buns for 6th hour, fried pickles, chocolate covered strawberries, pie, cultural foods, gummy worms, buttered noodles, steak and potatoes, tacos, iced coffee, seasoned fries, year-round soup, frozen lemonade, more cheese curds, smoothies, and twist ice cream. Even without these options, the West cafeteria always has a variety to choose from with something for everyone and the nicest staff around.
