Our own Lincoln-Way West theatre company put on the production of Alice @ Wonderland this October. Alice @ Wonderland is a modern retelling of the classic Alice in Wonderland. In this version, Alice is equipped with a phone.
The story included the iconic scene of “falling down the rabbit hole.” With the help of lighting, it looked incredible when Alice was shown drinking the potions that make her grow and shrink. After weeks of rehearsals and tech week, the cast put on a great performance. The crew also put in many long tech rehearsals that helped the show look and sound amazing with student stage managers Maddie Cochin, Robin Sanfilippo and Ray Kukowski, costume crew Jasmine Sanchez and Abigail Bansema, lighting technician Gulie Wulfers and their assistant Marlo Etzcorn, and sound technician Blade Carey and assistant Ben Enriquez.
A big thank you to the cast and crew for putting on an astonishing and entertaining play. An even bigger thank you to our amazing director Mrs. Connie Johnson and our amazing stage manager Mr. Kyle Plourde. Without them, we wouldn’t have been able to be on stage. I highly encourage everyone to see The Lincoln-Way West theatre company, or even join it! You won’t regret seeing a show. Each performance is different, and the cast and crew put in immense effort and hours into memorizing lines, building the set, putting together costumes, and much more. While I may be biased, the theater company is very similar to a family. This isn’t the last performance of the 2022-2024 season. We have winter play and musical as well! Come see a show and bring a friend. You’ll have a great time!
