Class of 2020,

I am not of this millennium. I am a relic of the 90’s. So here is the best advice I can muster:

Don’t speak, I know just what you’re saying. You’re excited. And you should be! You are stepping out into the big wide world. But the future is uncertain. You’re thinking to yourself “It’s my life, and it’s now or never.” But don’t forget, that it’s a bittersweet symphony, this life. Do not be deterred. Just make the best of this test and don’t ask why. And isn’t it ironic, don’t you think, that near, far, wherever you are, you will have these memories to take with you? (By the way, what made us think that we were wise and we’d never compromise?!) No matter. Best of luck next year and beyond. Just don’t go chasing waterfalls.
