Congratulations to the Class of 2020!  It’s difficult to believe that your four years at LW West have ended.  It seems like it was just yesterday that you entered West as freshmen, and now, in the blink of an eye, you are ready to leave us all behind.  You will be fondly remembered by our staff for a variety of reasons.  Obviously, none of us will forget that your class never attended West for the fourth quarter of your senior year due to the quarantine.  We will sadly remember that your class missed out on many social aspects of senior year, but in my mind, you were a remarkable class well before the pandemic.  In my many years of education, the class of 2020 will forever be known for organizing the BEST homecoming EVER!  “Back to the 80’s” brought our entire school—students and staff—together for a week of fun, excellent music, and camaraderie.  Another proud moment as your principal was when our senior leaders showed the younger students and the New Lenox community what school pride looks like at the girls’ state basketball game.  Even the announcer commented on our school spirit!  Seniors, it’s been an honor and a privilege walking this path with you.  I wish you a lifetime of health and happiness.  Thank you for all you’ve done to make LW West an excellent school; I’ve taken great pride in being your principal.  Be sure to come back and visit us.
