With Caelan Moran

Senior Stories—Quarantine Edition

Rebekah Hafner

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the rest of the school year has moved online. I decided to reach out to a few seniors and see how they felt about this outcome. I emailed Caelan Moran, a senior who is a part of the varsity softball team, and asked her a few questions. Caelan says that the best part of remote learning is that she does not have to sit through the seven-hour school day and can get her schoolwork done in a reasonable about of time. When asked what she misses about West, she says, “I miss being around all of my friends, and I miss playing softball and representing the school in my own way.” Caelan hopes to return to school even just for a day, but because of this pandemic, she does not believe that we will. She says, “I will be sad especially since I was really looking forward to prom and everything else.” During her free time, Caelan has learned to juggle and is learning to play the guitar. To stay active, she continues to do workouts and go on six-mile bike rides when the weather allows her to.

As always, our seniors are representing what it means to be Warrior strong even when they are not at school.
