I Carry the Circus
the body of an elephant
is what brings in the audience
my body
brings the men
the men drown
in my words
the lion has a roar
that is loud
just like my voice
the lions
have such sharp teeth
just like my words
I swallow my pride
like the sword swallower
I am the circus
I am the freakshows
that you turn away at
I am the endangered animals
that you stare in awe at
the elephant is big and beautiful
like walking cement
you will see a lion in a cage
underestimating their sharp claws
they will make you bleed
like I have bled
you will grow
only to wish
that you could reach my height
you will hear my roar
and you will shake in your seat
you will see me
the lion
the king
I am the king
the lion
the elephant
the part of me
you will never forget
