Black Friday is known for being the craziest shopping day in America. Most news networks dedicate time to report on Black Friday and its chaos. This year was no different bringing in over 5 billion dollars in sales in stores and online.  Online purchases were up 15% from last year. There were two major competitors in the Black Friday war: Walmart and Amazon. Amazon sales went up by 50% since last year selling, on average, 217 items a second.   Amazon did really well, unlike Walmart. Walmart ran out of stock online and in stores very quickly, which did not make customers happy. Whichever you think is better, it will be interesting to see which company is on top at the end of this holiday season.
