The West swim team is beginning the season off strong. The junior varsity and varsity teams are working together to stay successful as the season rolls along. Each swimmer is dedicated and hoping to become a better, faster swimmer in the long run. Coach Pavlacka encourages each and every swimmer to push through each practice, knowing the girls’ strengths and weaknesses. According to Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte, “At the start of each day, I remind myself, my toughest opponent is in the mirror.” Every swimmer believes all of the hard work put in will eventually pay off at the end of the season. The team is hoping to wrap up the season on a good note at Conference and Sectionals. As the swim season continues, wish the West girls swim team good luck!
