Activities Spotlight

Brogan Hayes

In the ever-changing times of 2020, clubs and activities have done an awesome job of modifying their meetings to keep students involved while still meeting the most up-to-date safety guidelines.

Lincoln-Way West has established a variety of activities and clubs to meet our students’ many interests.  There are many benefits to student involvement and students are encouraged to embrace the opportunity for growth through getting involved.

If you are still looking to get involved, here is some information on two activities that West has to offer!

One club that students might not be aware of:

The West Gazette: the student newspaper

This club’s main activities:

Creating and publishing a wide range of content for our students regarding school activities, current events, and lifestyle features

Contact person for students who would like to get involved:

Mrs. Hilbert ([email protected])

Another club that students might not be aware of:

Speech Team

This club’s main activities:

Preparing performance pieces for competitions against other schools in areas of reading, acting, and oratory

Contact person for students who would like to get involved:

Ms. Curalli ([email protected])

It is good for students to be involved in clubs and activities, because it’s a great way to meet new people, and develop new skills. Getting involved provides new experiences, and it is a great way to be a part of the school.

Thank you to Mrs. Novak for helping me showcase these activities!
